I swapped the plugs for better ones out of another engine and still ran the same, but it might be bent im not sure, it came out kinda tough, and the other plug went in a little tough too I was afraid I stripped it. But it sinched down fine.
And yeah ill try too, I need to find what thread the sensor is, I have JB weld should I need it hahaha

Do I build/turbo a Twin cam, or do I build the SBC that's sitting in my garage?...
Orrrr get another t3/to4e and twin turbo the SBC? A blow through carb setup would be stupid simple. I just dont know how it would be to tune it or figure my AFRs.
Cant beat that V8 song either.

lol ya v8 is simple easy drifter but i like boost. the blow thru carb would be harder to tune properly and you have to deal with cold starts and cold weather. i would just turbo the ka24de get some bigger inj and a safc and a good tune and call it a day. or if you wanna go a little more expensive you could build everything with z32 maf cams or what have you then contact someone to do a rom tune then you just have to plug your ecu in and your ready to go. just make sure you know every detail about what you use.

Well ive wanted to go V8 from the git, who knows, I could drift missile the vert with a turbo DE.
And in other news, I was trying to find a place to put that temp sensor, when it hit me, i have a mechanical gauge hooked up in the upper rad hose, so I dont need the temp sensor that goes to the gauge cluster, so I pulled it out to see if the threads were the same, and they were, for the most part, so I teflon-taped the bitch up and threaded it in, plugged it in to see if it made a difference
When I started it, it didnt want to idle, and died, so I gave it a little throttle to keep it running and let off a few minutes later and it idled by itself, so i know it was different, but when I drove it, it still had very little power, maybe a little bit more but nowhere near enough. And it still blows hella smoke (blue), but the backfiring has eased up considerably.
Still dunno what to do about it haha.

And ill probabaly just build the SBC close to OE specs actually. I forgot it has shit heads on it and its a tree-oh-five :/ lol still with headers, a performer intake and a cam and 1.6RRs it should sing a nice tune. Probably throw a 650cfm on it and call it a damn day. Lol. Wouldnt mind a MSD 6AL either if I could find one of the older models, before they turned to junk. Also fuck an HEI. I hate the stupid coil on the distributor.
But its a nice foundation for building another bigger small block to toss in it, they're so simple to wire in and take in/out

The sensor might be reading colder than it should.I think it should probably be on the intake or block somewhere. Do you have an intake for the oth motor you can use?

The two sensors are literally 1.5" away from each other, they both go in the upper rad hose neck on the intake mani

Yeah, I think im just not getting enough compression and getting a lot of blow by.
Burning oil and no power seems to add up

As far as making mounts for the small block, would it be smarter to modify the front crossmember to accept the SBC mounts, or make mounts off of the frame rails and cut the original mounts off the crossmember to make more room for headers. Seems like itd be easier to make mounts off the frame rails

I've never seen the clearance of a v8 in a 240 so I'm not sure what would be easier. If I had to guess I would say make brackets that come off the stock mounting place for the ka and go where ever the motor mount is on the v8.

Unless you want it solid mounted then I guess you can come straight off the frame to the metal part of the motor mounts.just need the motor perfectly poditioned in there so the tranny and everything lines up and has some clearance.
